Anjou Borough

Anjou Population

A typical street in Anjou

The Anjou population is mainly francophone and the allophones are divided into several ethnic groups.

The other most important groups of immigrants living in the area are from Haiti, Portugal, France and Vietnam.

The most important ethnic group are the Italians who introduced us to soccer, who participated in the foundation of the Association Soccer and who built the Saputo Stadium.

The Angevins

Anjou Traffic

The Angevins enjoy living in their neighborhood because of the easy access to housing and to the road network.

They think there are sufficient playgrounds and arenas for their needs and those of their children.

They don't value the cycle path and the theatres much though. They think the cycle path should be more elaborated and that new theatres should be built.

Boulevard in Anjou

The Angevins are fairly satisfied with the life offered by their surroundings and appreciate the quietness, the cleanliness and the quality of their environment.

They appreciate the two libraries, the proximity of the many shops and the easy access to the many parks.

Then again, they sometimes consider moving to another area because of the high rents and high taxes and because of the criminal behaviour of some street gangs. Then again, 95% of the Angevins do recommend to their family and friends to come and live in a neighborhood they consider rather safe and pleasant.
