Ville-Marie District

Montreal Chinatown

The heart beat of Montreal Chinatown is located corner of de la Gauchetière and Saint-Laurent.

There's magic in the gates that mark the four entries to the centre of the "quartier chinois" of Montreal.

When you walk through them it is as if you enter a new world, the world of Chinese traditions and culture.

It might be intimidating at first, but the discoveries you make when you explore its streets are worth the initial uneasiness. The area is very animated, especially on Sundays.

During the week, the employees of the Chinese businesses, organizations, associations and newspapers located in the surrounding buildings keep the area busy.

The "quartier chinois" located in Ville-Marie is a dynamic exchange centre with a chaotic mix of shops and restaurants.

In addition to kitchen items sold at unbeatable prices, shopping in the area offers inexpensive and unusual fashion or decorative accessories.

When properly arranged, those items add to your look or your home and bring an attractive exotic note.

Thank you for visiting our Quartier Chinois.
More to come soon.
