The Institut québécois de planification financière (IQPF) is the only organization in Quebec authorized to grant financial planning diplomas and to establish rules concerning the ongoing professional development of professional financial planners.
Only professionals recognized by the Institut québécois de planification financière are authorized to use the title of Financial Planner (F.Pl.). The IQPF is also the only organization entirely dedicated to and reserved for financial planners. The AMF is one of the important Quebec financial planner tools.

Changes to the Canada Pension Plan. Every three years, federal, provincial and territorial Finance ministers review the CPP to determine if benefits and/or contribution rates should be changed. Following their review of the CPP in May 2009, the ministers unanimously recommended changes to the CPP to enhance flexibility and to support both older and younger workers in a fair and affordable way.

Chambre de la sécurité financière
The mission of the Chambre de la sécurité financière is to protect consumers by maintaining discipline and overseeing the training and ethics of nearly 32,000 members who work in five sectors and registration category, that is, group savings plan brokerage, financial planning* insurance of persons, group insurance of persons and scholarship plan brokerage.
The Chamber carries out its mission by stringently monitoring the practices and continuously upgrading the knowledge of these professionals. The Chamber draws on four fundamental values to promote its members’ contribution to society: leadership, integrity, professionalism and transparency. Financial Planning Standards Council
Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to ensuring Canadians' financial planning needs are well served by developing, promoting and enforcing professional standards for financial planning, through CFP® certification, and raising awareness of the importance of financial planning to Canadians. The FPSC is also one of the important Canadian financial planner tools.
FPSC licenses the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER marks in Canada. With over 17,500 licensed CFP professionals to date, FPSC is the foremost authority for the financial planning profession in Canada, in concert with the IQPF in Quebec, continually developing, delivering and enforcing the highest competence and ethical standards. There are more than 126,000 individuals who have earned CFP certification in 23 countries around the world.

The Régie contributes to your financial security and that of your family by advising you on retirement planning.
In particular, the Régie promotes financial planning for retirement and makes you aware of the need to provide yourself with sufficient income for that stage of life, closely monitors supplemental pension plans, pays you a retirement pension, provides you with compensation in the event of disability or death, provides you with financial aid when you have a dependent child (child assistance payments and supplement for a handicapped child).
