Types of Architecture

Montreal has four Roman Catholic basilicas, the Cathédrale Marie Reine du Monde, the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal, the Saint-Patrick's Basilica and the Saint-Joseph's Oratory of Mount-Royal.

In Montreal, religious authorities were in the hands of the French Catholics and of the English Protestants and several Protestant churches were built. The two most notable are the St-James United Church and the Christ Church Cathedral.

Green architecture residential is the combination of building designs and constructions that take into consideration all aspects of the building process that alter and are altered by the environment. Green architecture residential consists of buildings designed, built, renovated, operated, or reused in an energy efficient and economic manner.
