Until the end of the 1950's, The Centre area was still a vacation resort for middle-class people.
Located near the entry of the Montreal Aqueduct, the neighborhood is primarily a residential area with many public equipment and services.
The police station, the School Commission and the Municipal Skating Rink help confirm the name of the vicinity.
Part of the patrimonial heritage is also located in the area.
The neighbourhood kept its old country houses on Lasalle Boulevard and a small marina, a quay rather, serves as a starting point for people who wish to go to the Hérons, au Diable and aux Chèvres Islands by boat.
Thank you for visiting The-Centre. More to come soon.
