The Old-Port along the St-Lawrence River and the historic, once walled Vieux Montréal are neighbours.
Both are located in the Ville Marie district, both are close to Downtown Montreal and both are Montreal tourist attractions.
Montreal has two ports, the old port in the west, in Ville Marie and the new one, the Port de Montréal in the east, in Mercier and Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough. The construction of the massive grain elevators along the St-Lawrence River dates back from the time of the spectacular growth of the Vieux Port de Montréal.
The new port moved to the East and the now multifunctional vieux port in the West is, among other facilities, an urban park and the site of a variety of cultural and commercial events.
Whether you need a large hall for a major corporate event or a smaller space for an exclusive business meeting, the Vieux Port de Montréal Corporation, manager of the Montreal Science Centre and of the Quays of the Vieux Port has a variety of rooms and locations for rent. In addition, professional and amateur filmmakers and photographers find a large selection of interior and exterior locations to suit their needs.
Thank you for visiting the Vieux Port. More to come soon.
